NILS-UDO : L'art dans la nature - Photographies et peintures

Hubert Besacier, 2011
In 1972, this German painter transferred his art from canvases to nature itself: a water house in the North Sea, a lake in the heart of the desertic Africa are among the hundred works presented and commented on, living and ephemeral creations made from materials such as water, earth, stone, vegetation. 'The idea of literally planting my works in the natural landscape, of letting them become a part of it, of definitively abandoning them to it, to its cycles and rhythms, on one hand, brought me a profound serenity, and on the other hand, generated almost euphoric states of mind, as the possibilities and new subjects offered to me seemed inexhaustible.' - NILS-UDO
